I have 6 years of teaching in some design schools in Manila, specializing in basic concept for 1st year students. This website is very suitable for me to contribute to my professional teaching.
About this course:
Course overview & content:
Find out how to make paper from scratch: collect sunflower stalks, process them chemically and mechanically until you get the pulp, then use the pulp to make the paper. Learn how to obtain colors from nature to create pages with personality and turn your favorites into a sewn booklet for the final project.
Once you understand the basic components of paper, get straight into making your own. First, process the sunflower stalks to extract the cellulose, then hydrate the fibers and create a thin layer, which you need to let dry. Camila then teaches you how to do the pressing and peeling.
