Chou Chengban Phukan
Fashion Designer | India
I am a visual merchandiser by profession. I did my graduation in fashion and apparel design. With my learnings, I carry forward my expertise to product development, visual merchandising and retail store design developments. As a part of my role, I do take care of the following responsibilities: (a) Product development: market research – updated trims – trends – materials – design process – development. (b) Visual Merchandising: Window display themes – concept for displays – in-store display ideas – merchandise presentation – visual merchandising standardization – visual merchandising materials accountability – creating new vendors – budget control etc. to name a few. (c) Store development: site visit – analyzing possibilities – floor planning – retails space planning – traffic flow – lighting – floor fixtures etc. During the role as visual merchandiser, I have undergone a one-month certificate full time course in the year 2015 and got more professional ideas and techniques and tools that can be used for visual perspective. The purpose of which was to better my understanding of window displays, improve in survey design and to learn how to bring live to the stores. I have learnt the art of presenting the live modules. This led me to create art installations back in 2019 and 2020 in Ho Chi Minh City of Fine Arts Association.
